Calif. Market Close: Tax-Exempts Finish Flat

The California municipal market was quiet and unchanged during today’s abbreviated session.
“With the early close today and the total market closure tomorrow, I wasn’t really expecting any great shakes in the market today, and we didn’t get any,” a trader in Los Angeles said. “We should see a big pickup in activity, especially on the new issue side, starting on Wednesday, but there wasn’t anything to talk about today, at least that I saw.”
