Calif. Market Close: Tax-Exempts Finish Slightly Firmer
The California municipal market was slightly firmer today, ahead of a three-day weekend in observance of Independence Day tomorrow.
“The market is pretty quiet, but these past few days it has firmed up a bit,” a trader in Los Angeles said.

Market Close: Munis End Slightly Firmer
The municipal market was slightly firmer today, ahead of a three-day weekend in observance of Independence Day tomorrow.
“It’s quiet to say the least,” a trader in New York said. “There’s still some recent buying at the front of the curve thanks the reinvestment period and the lack of new issues. It’s probably continuing to get a bit firmer like earlier this week.”

Market Post: Munis Slightly Firmer in Morning Trade
The municipal market was slightly firmer this morning, ahead of an early market close and a three-day weekend in observance of Independence Day tomorrow.
“The market is coming back now, it sold off earlier with Treasuries,” a trader in New York said. “It’s really quiet, though, lots of apathy, lots of people off today. It was a little bit easier this morning, but it’s probably going to come back to just a point off or unchanged for the day.”
